Fractional Marketing Director in Denver

One director who owns all of it, and answers when you call.

You built this business. Matthew Montez, our founder, is the marketing director on your account. He owns the plan, runs every channel with the MBC team behind him, and you have his direct line during business hours.

Book a call with Matthew See what he runs

A free 30-minute call. A straight read on where your marketing stands, one flat monthly fee quoted before day one, and an honest answer if we are not the right fit.

Who this is for

You outgrew doing it yourself. You cannot justify a full-time director.

That is the gap most owner-led businesses sit in for years. You know the marketing matters. You also know it is the first thing that slips when the week gets busy, because it is nobody's whole job.

A full-time marketing director is a big salary for a role you may only need part of. An agency gives you an account manager. Freelancers give you pieces. None of them give you one senior person who owns the whole thing and picks up the phone.

A fractional marketing director does. You get the director, the plan and the team that does the work, for one flat monthly fee. You stop carrying marketing. It gets carried by someone who cares about your business like you do.

What's included

Every channel your director runs.

Your plan uses the ones you need. Nothing gets switched on because it was in a package.

Who it's for

Worth saying who it isn't for.

It's for you if
  • ✓You own the business and marketing is still landing on your desk
  • ✓You have tried an agency, a freelancer or a junior hire and ended up managing them
  • ✓You want one person accountable for the plan and the results
  • ✓You want to approve the work, not produce it
It isn't if
  • –You want a plan on paper and someone else to run it
  • –You need a team on site every day, that is a full-time hire
  • –You are looking for the cheapest set of hands, not the person in charge
The first 30 days

What happens first.

  1. Week 1, Listen and look

Matthew sits down with you. What you sell, who buys it, what has been tried. Then every channel you have gets audited and the gaps get written down.

  2. Week 2, The plan and the fee

One document. What we will run, in what order, what it should produce, and the flat monthly fee. You approve it before anything is built.

  3. Week 3, Build

Accounts, tracking, profiles, creative and the first wave of work. You see drafts, you approve them, and only then do they go live.

  4. Week 4, Live and reported

The first channels are running. You get your first monthly report, in plain language, with what moved and what comes next.

What your director does

Owns the plan. Runs the channels. Reports to you.

Matthew Montez writes your marketing plan and is accountable for it. He decides what to run, in what order, and what to leave alone. The MBC team does the production behind him, so the work ships at a pace one person never could.

Every month you get a report you can read in ten minutes. Every piece of work comes to you first. Nothing goes live until you have approved it. And when something comes up between reports, you call him.

One person in charge

Why it has to be one person.

Most marketing fails for a dull reason. Nobody owns it. The website was built by one company, the ads are run by another, the social is a cousin, and you are the only person who sees all of it. So you are the marketing director, on top of your real job.

A fractional marketing director takes that seat. One person holds the plan, the budget and the calendar. When Google Ads and the website disagree about what a lead is, he settles it. When a channel is not earning its place, he says so and moves the money.

That is the relief part. You stop being the person who has to remember. You get to be the person who approves.

It is also why the name is director and not strategist. A strategist hands you a plan. A director is accountable for what happens after.

Compared with the alternatives

In-house, agency or freelancers.

Hiring in-house gets you one person, full time, who is only as broad as their own background. A strong SEO hire is rarely a strong paid media hire, and neither of them is a designer. You carry the salary, the benefits and the risk that they leave in eighteen months with everything in their head.

An agency gets you a team, but the senior people are in the pitch and the junior people are on the account. You talk to an account manager. Decisions go up a chain and come back down. Scope grows because growing scope is how agencies grow.

Freelancers get you specialists at a fair price, each doing good work in their own lane. What you do not get is the person who connects the lanes, which means you become that person, which is the problem you were trying to solve.

A fractional marketing director sits above all three. You get the senior person without the full-time salary, the team without the account manager, and the specialists with someone in charge of them. You pay one flat fee and you have one phone number.

If one of the alternatives is working for you, keep it. We will say so on the first call. This is for the owner who has tried the alternatives and is tired of managing them.

You approve before it goes live

Your name is on it. You see it first.

Nothing goes out under your brand without you seeing it. Ad copy, posts, pages, emails, the lot. You get a draft, you say yes or you say change this, and only then does it ship.

This is not a formality we add for comfort. You know your customers in a way no outside team ever will. The review step is where that knowledge gets into the work.

It is also fast. Approvals happen in a shared channel, usually the same day. Nobody is waiting on a weekly meeting to move a sentence.

And when you are busy, you tell us what you want to see and what you trust us to handle. Most owners start by reviewing everything and end up reviewing the things that matter to them.

Reporting

A monthly report you will actually read.

Once a month you get one report. What we did, what it produced, what we learned and what we are doing next. Written in plain language. Calls, forms, booked jobs and revenue where we can see it, not impressions and reach dressed up as results.

The targets in it are the ones we set together on day one, so you are never being graded on a curve we drew afterwards.

Between reports, you have a shared channel for the small stuff and Matthew's direct line for the rest. If something changes in your business on a Tuesday, the plan can change on Tuesday.

If a channel is not earning its place, the report says so and recommends what to do about it. Sometimes that means stopping something we are paid to run. That is the job.

Industries

Built for owner-led local businesses.

The channels are the same. What changes is what a good customer looks like, where they search and how fast they decide. Your director has run marketing for every one of these.
